Breaking Investigation after bodies of two men recovered from canal in Dublin

An investigation is under way following the discovery of two bodies in the Grand Parade area of Dublin.

Gardaí say that the bodies of the two men, who were aged in their 40s, were recovered from the canal this morning. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

The alarm was raised after 8am and the scene has been preserved with a garda cordon in place.

Gardaí say that the State Pathologist has been notified and that the results of the post-mortem examinations will determine the course of their investigation.
