Two men in their 20s have been arrested in connection with the discharge of a firearm and an incident of assault which occurred at a residential location near Dundalk, Co Louth, last night.
Two men in their 20s and another man in his 50s were injured during the incident.
The two men in their 20s were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The two men who were arrested are being detained for questioning at garda stations in the Louth area.
