Two Dublin men have appeared in court charged with organised crime offences after they were arrested by gardaí from Coolock and Raheny.
Douglas ‘Dougie’ Purcell, 42, from Newtown Court Campsite in Belcamp is accused of committing a serious offence for a criminal organisation and enhancing the ability of a criminal organisation.
He is also charged with demanding money with menaces and making a threat to kill.
He was granted bail on condition that he sign on three times a week at Raheny Garda Station, provide gardaí with a mobile phone number and have no contact with four named people.
He was also directed to stay away from the Harmonstown area.
He is due to appear again in court in September for service of the book of evidence
Martin Purcell, 20, also from Newtown Court Campsite in Belcamp was charged with committing a serious offence for the benefit of a Criminal Organisation under Section 73 of the Criminal Justice Act.
He was granted bail on similar conditions including that he had no contact with two named people.
He is also due back in court in September.
