Cells across Dublin’s Mountjoy Prison have been raided in a major response to a “sinister” petrol bomb attack on a prison officer’s home.

The Irish Mirror has learned that a massive search took place across the prison throughout Tuesday after the home of a senior prison officer was targeted in a petrol bomb attack on Monday night.

“The prison was turned upside down as a response to this. The message is you won’t get away with this,” a source said.
