Posted by A murder investigation is under way after the body of a woman was discovered at a house in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at St Joseph’s Park shortly after midday on Sunday.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and her body was taken to University Hospital Limerick.
She has been named as Joan Ray, aged in her 80s.
A post-mortem examination was carried out by the State pathologist yesterday, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons.
