AN 89-YEAR-OLD widow who was found murdered in her home in Nenagh, Co Tipperary last Sunday has been remembered at her requiem mass as a “remarkable lady” who brought “light, laughter, and love” in to the lives of all she knew.
The body of mother of five Josephine (Josie) Ray was discovered by a family member in a bedroom at her two storey terraced house in St Joseph’s Park in the town last Sunday afternoon. It is understood that she died by asphyxiation.
Gardaí say they have arrested two people in connection with her murder.
A man and woman, both in their 50s, have been detained by Gardaí under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, Southern Region. Gardaí say investigations are still ongoing.
