Joe was found with head injuries outside a house in Mayo in 2017THE dad of murdered GAA fan Joe Deacy blasted the “pitiful” progress in the investigation into his son’s death.

Tragic Joe, from St Albans, Hertfordshire, UK, was on holiday in Ireland when he was found with head injuries outside a house in Swinford, Co Mayo, on the morning of August 12, 2017.He died the following day in Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital.

Although three men and a woman have been arrested by Gardai, no one has ever been charged with his murder.

At present, Gardai believe four men who were seen in a car in the area where the 21-year-old was attacked could be linked to the death.

They also suspect the men have been involved in other forms of serious crime in the Co Mayo area over the last seven years.
