A convicted murderer who absconded from prison in Belfast on Friday has been caught by police today.
David McCord, aged 54, was in the custody of prison staff at a property in the Crumlin Road area of north Belfast on Friday when he absconded.
The PSNI said he was apprehended in the Belfast area today following police appeals to trace his whereabouts and has been returned to prison.
McCord is serving a life sentence for the 2003 murder of Nichola Dickson.
