Read the Journal today, on Michael Shine. Back in 2009, RTE did a Documentary on the convicted Paedophile and his trips to India to children’s orphanages which now has stopped. Shine was also, sources inform us, in Nigeria in the 1960’s. It is alleged again, working with children, until the Government of Nigeria ordered him to leave the country. The 2009 documentary by RTE Investigates is worth watching. Also, sources inform us in 1961 Shine (it is alleged) was the doctor for Celtic Football Club (Glasgow). There is also information that states that Shine and others, for a brief period, had their own “box” in Wimbledon (Tennis). Shine has no regrets – he has shown no remorse to his victims and he Blames the media for a witch hunt on him. We now hope the Government will order a full Public Inquiry into the decades of paedophile abuse of patients and others that Shine is alleged to have perpetrated.
