Three people have been arrested following the seizure of a firearm in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí on patrol in the Crumlin area observed a car at around 12.45am, which was then driven away.
The car cut out on Kilfenora Road in Kimmage and all three people in the vehicle – a woman in her 30s and two men in their 20s and 30s – were arrested.
A loaded sawn-off shotgun was seized, as was the vehicle.
All three are being held at garda stations in Dublin and investigations are ongoing.
