Two men have been arrested in connection with the seizure of drugs in counties Monaghan and Galway, believed to be worth an estimated €550,000.
The drugs were seized after six locations were searched in the counties yesterday.
Gardaí say that suspected cannabis and cocaine were found following the searches, and four cars, €65,000 in cash and Rolex watch were also seized.
The searches were carried out as part of an operation targeting gangs suspected of being involved in the sale and importation of drugs in the north east and west.
Two men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested and are currently being detained.
