It is indeed a shame and a scandal that the indigenous Irish are homeless (and I include the “hidden homeless” couch-surfing and sharing rooms) while our “Government” continues to import economic migrants. To add insult to proverbial injury, politicians from all the mainstream parties are promising to build more houses. This is a builder’s bonanza! It’s a great time to invest in property, whether as a builder or landlord. It will also suit the business owners, temporarily, to have cheap labour – but they will soon find themselves competing with little family businesses set up by immigrants. Hoteliers who are gaining from this now will need to make their money fast and then go into some other business because they won’t be able to compete once the “new Irish” take over. It would be interesting to know if any of the people making or promoting this open-borders policy have shares (direct or indirect through pension funds etc) in construction, hotels or any of the industries dependent on cheap labour – and very interesting to know what plans they have to protect that income (offshore accounts? Matryoshka-doll businesses?). Or perhaps they simply plan to live off the European taxpayers forever, with cushy jobs in Brussels / Stasbourg… Interesting, too – literally intriguing – to speculate about the motivations of some of the people behind the “Far Right”; while I have no doubt that many of these people are expressing legitimate concerns, I reckon they have been infiltrated by bad actors who are working for those who profit from immigration. The dirty tricks are there to see: open connections to racist groups in Europe, racist comments, supporting the genocidal Israeli regime (while, ironically, being anti-Semitic xenophobic in general), claiming to be “pro-life” while ranting against “childless cat ladies” (yes, JD Vance is their role model). Thank you, Fred Basset (I’m sure that’s not your real name) for challenging the mainstream media and Irish politicians on your website. This is real journalism.
