The Circuit Civil Court this week heard cops found a man tied to a crucifix having his bare buttocks whipped at the premises last year.

The details of the Garda raid during a BDSM party followed allegations businesswoman Conway let a basement she rented be used as a lap-dancing bar, strip club, brothel and sadomasochistic club.
Conway, of Claremont Road, Sandymount, Dublin, was not represented at a hearing on Friday when her bid to join a third party to court proceedings against her was struck out by County Registrar Rita Considine.
Exasperated landlord Liam is pushing for the Circuit Civil Court to grant an order that Conway lose her tenancy.Grant said Frank Conway had twice allowed him access to the premises in 2018 and, on one occasion, a former kitchen was used as a private area for lap-dancing.
The landlord said that he found out the premises was also hosting sadomasochism parties and that it was raided back in October 2019 during a so-called Blasphemy Event.
He said a Garda Inspector Martin Mooney found a man tied to a large crucifix having his naked bum whipped and customers had been oddly dressed with few or no clothes.
Some had been wearing masks and carrying whips. Sexual activity, he had been advised, had been taking place in the back room. She must operate as a restaurant/nightclub and the kitchen is now gone.
“But she certainly has no right to let it operate as lap-dancing or for all these other sexual things going on.”
Adverts seen by the Irish Sun show online promos for the lap-dancing strip club at the Baggot Street premises.
So-called Blasphemy events were also advertised online before cops shut them down.Grant told us: “The eviction case is hopefully coming up shortly.
The case would have been heard only she sought to join this third party on the basis they were managing the place at the time.”
