Fury erupted when former BBC newsreader Edwards, 63, recently walked from court in London with a six-month prison term, suspended for two years, for viewing depraved online material.But today The Irish Sun reveals how a wave of paedos convicted of accessing sick child abuse images in Ireland have also avoided custodial sentences.
Monster Piotr Grycuk, 45, was recently given a fully-suspended sentence despite being caught with more than 10,000 images of child sexual abuse material.
Sicko Grycuk, of Raglan Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin, pleaded guilty to possessing 10,347 images and three videos of child abuse at his home.
Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard how 30 of the images were described as being in the most serious, sexually explicit category.
