The only part of Sinn Fein’s first utterance on the Niall Ó Donnghaile scandal that still stands up a week later is the full stop.

“We received a complaint on the 11th of September 2023 that an inappropriate message was sent by a party member to a 17-year-old party member,” the party said last Friday, 48 hours after repeatedly receiving the questions.
