Woman accused of stealing over €70,000 in social welfare across Westmeath, Longford and Mayo

A woman is to stand trial accused of stealing over €70,000 in social welfare payments over an eight-and-a-half year period.

Romanian national Terca Muntean (30) with addresses at Mullaghvoureen, Longford and 22 Viewpoint, Pound Road, Castlebar, Co Mayo, appeared at a sitting of Athlone District Court charged with 32 counts of theft alongside three further charges of using a false instrument.
