Oh Dear. This is the problem with guardian reading/BBC types (I used to be one BTW). They’ve decided someone is “far-right”, “racist” etc but they refuse to look at the evidence first hand. It reminds me of a homophobe I used to know that didn’t want to be around “queers” in case they turned him gay. He actually told me his biggest fear was that he’d wake up and without warning, discover he was gay. I wonder if Zoe William’s is secretly scared that if she actually reads the book with her own eyes it will somehow infect her and turn her into a “far-right ” convert.
She’s written a review of reviews based on her prejudiced outlook. How intellectually uninspiring! I want to know why this guy is prepared to make the personal sacrifices he has. I want to make my OWN mind up. He could be far-right, racist OR he might be incredibly brave. That is for me to decide and I am certainly intellectually robust enough to be able to read it on my own thanks.
Again …… oh dear, oh dear
