A junior minister’s son jailed this week after threatening to stab and chop up a woman is facing more time behind bars as the State is seeking to reactivate a suspended sentence for a previous offence. He also has a hatred for Gardaí and was jailed for four years for his involvement in a “mob attack” on an off-duty officer in Mountrath in 2016.
