Minister of State Robert Troy has resigned as a Minister of State after he failed to declare all details of his properties to the Dáil register of members’ interests.
The Longford-Westmeath TD said he acted in “error” and was “embarrassed” that he did not fully disclose all of his properties.
As Mr Harris began a similar response, Mr Toibin then asked incredulously: “You don’t accept accountability for the €2.5bn spend on the National Children’s Hospital?”

Mr Harris repeated: “I was the Minister for Health when the contract went to government.
It was put to Mr Harris by the host that he “personally signed the contract that brought us the Children’s Hospital saga“.

Mr Harris replied: “Well of course I didn’t, but continue.”
Interrupting Ms Hannon’s next statement asking that he “didn’t sign the contract”, Mr Harris continued: “I was the Minister for Health when the contract went to government.
Aontu’s Peadar Toibin then said: “And responsible as such for it.”
