The madness continues as tents, provided by taxpayers, stretch all along the canal, filled with migrants (most of whom don’t qualify as asylum seekers). The government is allowing this madness to continue. It’s now become lawless, and our immigration laws have been abandoned. I’ve been saying this for years on the radio and was “blacklisted” by Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael, and opposition parties. They wouldn’t come on the radio with me because I predicted this years ago. Emergency 72-hour detention processing should be implemented, and immediate forced deportations for the majority who don’t qualify as fleeing war or facing life-threatening situations are the only solution. But the NGOs are in the government’s ear, and it won’t happen, and the madness will continue. We are good people and help those genuinely in need, and we should continue to do that. But we are being taken advantage of, and we need to listen to the people who say ENOUGH! We need a large state and Garda immigration task force to tackle this TODAY. It’s amazing that we could deploy Garda during Covid to monitor people outside their 6k but we can’t monitor illegal immigrants coming into the country and protect our countries immigration laws.
