A Polish “career criminal” and his wife – whose car, thousands of euros in cash and luxury goods are to be seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau – lived the ‘high life’ with overseas trips including a holiday to Somalia, a court has heard.
Marcin Slupinski, 37, and his partner Alexander Klechowitz, who live in Crowspark Court in Dublin, took trips to Somalia, Malaga, Poland, Barcelona, Fuerteventura and Palmero in 2017 and 2018 and paid €27k in cash for a luxury Audi A7, the High Court heard on Wednesday.
This is despite Slupinski not having any legitimate income since 2019 and Klechowitz having no legitimate income since 2017.The affidavit said Slupinski is “involved in a network of Polish criminals,” and has a conviction for assault in Northern Ireland, seven road traffic convictions in the Republic of Ireland as well as a conviction for using a false name and multiple convictions in Poland for drugs, threats and stalking, the court heard.
