GUARDIAN ANGELS RETURN TO NYC SUBWAYS AFTER HORRIFIC MURDER The Guardian Angels are patrolling NYC subways again after last week’s shocking murder, where a woman was burned alive while sleeping on an F train at Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue. Police arrested 39-year-old Sebastian Zapeta-Calil, an illegal migrant from Guatemala, for the unprovoked attack. The group’s 150 members will patrol trains, check on the homeless and mentally ill, hand out water, and report issues to the NYPD—essentially doing the job people say the cops should be doing. Curtis Sliwa, who founded the Angels in 1979 to tackle subway crime, claims it’s just as bad now. Sliwa: “We’re here to say, you see something, you say something. You gotta do something. We’re now back to where we were when I started the group in 1979 on the subways—I’ve never seen it this bad.” Translation: quit scrolling TikTok and act. Source:
