Almost ONE THIRD of women murdered in Ireland since 2020 were murdered by foreign national males (out of 37 murders). A handful of the cases name no suspect, and so the figures could be higher (and in at least one unsolved case one person of interest is a foreign national). This is a MASSIVE overrpresentation of migrant men. Officially speaking, in Ireland 22% of the population were born outside of the country. Meaning (we are told), 78% of people are supposedly Irish. Obviously, not all of that 22% foreign born is made up of adult males. So when you factor that in, the percentage (almost a third of femicides) is even more staggering. If immigration and Irish violent crime statistics are NOT linked then we would FULLY expect to see far LESS foreign men represented in these murder cases. In fact you would expect almost all murders of women to be carried out by Irish men. Some of the foreign nationals victims were Irish (Ashling Murphy), but many victims were foreign national females. Most of the 37 women murdered in total were mothers. All were equally deserving of living their lives in full, and their children and families were entitled to live their lives in peace alongside these women. They all had names and lives and I’m sorry I can’t include them all here in detail. We clearly have enough violent Irish killers in this country, as represented by the other two-thirds of femicide killers (a small number of whom were female perpetrators). So why would the state keep letting in undocumented, unvetted males in? Who are completely untraceable and unidentifiable in the vast, vast majority of cases (as CONFIRMED by the Dept of Justice parimentary FOI response…Garda superintendent Aidan Minock of the GNIB lied to the public on National TV). Of murders overall (including murders of children and males) I do not know how many have been carried out by foreign nationals versus Irish. But I’d be keen to find out.
