This is my daughter Danaka. Next week she will be 17 years old. A little more than 4 years ago she was being groomed by the gender cult. She was socially transitioned through a program at her school. It was an absolute nightmare for our entire family. And it was devastating for me as a mother to see my daughter in such turmoil. Today she’s healthy, happy, and focused on her promising future. She’s a role model and leader with her friends, in her school, and for our community. Our relationship gets stronger each day also. She has a clear understanding of how the world works and her place in it. She is free. But it took a lot of hard work and dedication to pull my baby out of that cult. The struggle was overwhelming. But my daughter was worth every minute of heartache, frustration, hardship, skirmish, and confrontation. I took what I learned from my experience with my daughter and helped others. Now all of my time and energy is spent teaching my desistance program to others. I do this through coaching, creating a curriculum, and content for other parents and health professionals to follow. Affirming Reality is the modernization of authoritative parenting in the digital age. Desistance is freedom.
