A New York-bound flight had to divert to Dublin Airport and dump €30,000 (£25,000) worth of fuel after a “nervous flyer” mixed Xanax and alcohol and became “unruly” on the plane.

Zachary Greear (34), a climate research analyst, downed his own drinks, urinated in the aisle and touched other passengers inappropriately before the captain on the United Airlines flight from Amsterdam decided to turn the plane around.
