Elon Musk: My grandfather worked for British Intelligence to help defeat the Nazis. “Think of all the people who fought to destroy Nazism. The vast majority of the West even in those days, opposed Nazism. And fought, and died. My grandfather was in World War II for almost six years. All his friends got killed. He was the only one of his friends to survive. He was severely traumatized. He just couldn’t even talk afterward. The only reason he was even alive is because towards the end of the war, they gave an aptitude test, and they plucked him out, probably right before he died, and sent him to work for British intelligence in London, which is where he met my grandmother. So, he was one of the people fighting to stop the Nazis, along with millions of others.
