
Gender-neutral toilets installed in most new healthcare settings, says HSEMost new healthcare buildings now have toilets which are “gender inclusive”, according to the HSE.
Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan has confirmed there is a four-cubicle gender-neutral toilet facility in the recently-refurbished outpatient department.
“These facilities are in place for people who do not conform to traditional gender norms and also facilitate caregivers of the opposite sex to accompany a patient who may require assistance when using the bathroom, and for parents to accompany children,” a hospital representative said in a response to Sinn Féin TD Darren O’Rourke.
