A FISHERMAN is suspected of working with a major UK crime gang to smuggle over €100m worth of cocaine to Ireland.
The suspect, from Co Derry is currently being questioned by Gardai as part of a major investigation into a transatlantic drug smuggling plot. Along with two men from Scotland and a man from Serbia, he was arrested by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau after they were arrested at Meenogahane, near Ballyheigue in north Kerry on Monday morning.
