@MyLordBeb Calin Georgescu, who won the cancelled first round of Romania’s presidential elections, is again leading the polls, Reuters reports, calling him a “far-right, pro-Russian candidate.” Sociologists are now giving him 38%, while pro-Western candidate Crin Antonescu has 25%. The elections are scheduled for May and it is unclear whether Georgescu will even be allowed to run. Last October, the Supreme Court banned another far-right politician from running, which critics considered an abuse of power. Recall that the formal pretext for the annulment of the first round results was accusations that Russia interfered in the elections. However, the preliminary investigation did not establish any evidence of this.
