The incident took place in the Station Walk housing estate, Newbridge on Saturday, October 19.
At 8.30pm, upon the victims return, they discovered a window to the rear of the house had been prised open and the house had been entered.Gardaí believe that at least two and possibly three suspects were involved.
The victims subsequently reported the loss of items of jewellery to the value of €30,000 approx.
It is believed that the suspects travelled in a black Mini with silver alloys.
