Gardai made the bust this week.A MAJOR crime gang installed secret compartments in a fleet of vehicles to smuggle drugs across the capital.

The Irish Sun can reveal the mob – based in west Dublin – swamped communities with crack cocaine, cocaine and cannabis in recent months.But their drug dealing network is now in ruin after officers from the Dublin Crime Response Team seized €12.8m worth of cocaine and cannabis at an industrial unit in Mountmellick, Co Laois, on Tuesday evening.

During the operation, investigators seized 182kg worth of cocaine and 4kg worth of cannabis.

Following the seizure, Gardai also swooped on properties in the Lucan and Rathcoole areas of Dublin.

Officers also seized five vehicles and €25,000 in cash.One source said: “The three men arrested aren’t well known figures in organised crime.

“They’re suspected of being used to bring the drugs into different areas across west Dublin.
