93 Gardaí are suspended and under investigation by the force or GSOC

Fifteen are accused of theft and forgery, 10 sexual assault and 14 for driving under the influence of an intoxicant A further nine are alleged to have interfered with a fixed notice charge, eight are accused of corruption, and nine over domestic violence or coercive control. He also confirmed there were a total of 18 new suspensions for the whole of last year . Another 20 members had their suspensions lifted in 2024 while 13 members who were under suspension retired or resigned from the force.

One Garda was dismissed for the whole of last year. He also revealed that between 2019 to 2024 a total of 13 Gardaí have been sacked.
