The party of American women were staying in an Airbnb on Talbot Street in Dublin City last weekend, having checked in on Friday. However, as Saturday night moved into Sunday morning, the women were met with a traumatic experience. Speaking on Liveline this week, the manager of the Dublin City Centre Airbnb, Conal, explained that a man broke into the kitchen of the home, clad in a balaclava and proceeded to steal the TV with a knife on Sunday morning. “The girls are terrified, the Americans, and then (he) tries to get out the door he came in, goes through a plate glass window, puts a fire extinguisher through it to get out. Eventually realises it’s not the door, goes through the door, out on the roof and away.”
