@MarioNNETANYAHU: ISRAEL WON’T ALLOW HTS FORCES (NEW RULERS) IN SOUTHERN SYRIA Netanyahu declared that Israel will not tolerate Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) or any forces linked to Syria’s new rulers in the country’s south. Following HTS’s takeover of Damascus on December 8, Israel moved forces into a U.N.-monitored demilitarized zone as a defensive measure. Netanyahu insists Israeli troops will stay as long as necessary. Israel is demanding full demilitarization of Quneitra, Daraa, and Sweida and vows to protect the Druze population in southern Syria. Despite Syria and the U.N. calling for Israeli withdrawal, Netanyahu makes it clear—Israel won’t back down. Source: Reuters
