Thank you for proving my point – people fleeing wars aren’t necessarily poor. This is why Denmark imposed a “valuables tax” on anyone wishing to claim asylum. Those applying for FREE State Aid must handover all cash/valuables above ~€1200 (excluding wedding rings) to help pay for their stay.

Those applying for FREE State Aid must handover all cash/valuables above ~€1200 (excluding wedding rings) to help pay for their stay. Doing this actually HELPS genuine asylum seekers. It works so well that Austria & parts of Germany have followed suit.
