After nearly two hours, gardaí arrived at the man’s house and the live stream ended.

A garda spokesperson confirmed that they attended the scene on Saturday and that a man aged in his 60s had been brought in for questioning before being released. Inquiries into the matter and a garda investigation are ongoing.

He is then accused of asking the child if she was a virgin.

“She said she was 13. I should’ve deleted her straight away,” he then concedes, at which point the team read out a series of messages urging the child to delete the chat after they had finished interacting.

The man visibly becomes uncomfortable as further messages are read out asking the young girl what colour underwear she was wearing and whether she had pubic hair.

“I’m absolutely disgusted with myself,” he says.
