Here in Germany, rates of senior citizens living in poverty has been rising for decades. There are now well over 3 million 65+living at risk of poverty. In every city you see old men and women like this rummaging in bins for bottles to return for their deposits like this woman I spoke to today. It’s humiliating for them.
