A man who targeted a vulnerable young woman in Dublin City Centre, controlling her movements for two hours and forcing her to give him hundreds of euro and purchase him an iPhone, has been jailed for four years. The woman’s family told Dublin Circuit Criminal Court they are saddened that this “cruelty” was inflicted on her while she was “walking the streets in daylight”. The court heard that the victim’s family had worked hard to help her enjoy as much independence as possible but she has now withdrawn socially and has trust issues as a result of her ordeal. https://courtsnewsireland.ie/vulnerable-woman-targeted-directed-and-controlled-in-cruel-city-centre-theft/2025/03/12/
