A judge has directed the Probation Services to carry out an assessment of Indian national Visak Rajesh Leela (26), who attempted to abduct a five-year-old boy playing outside an apartment building in Dublin last September. Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that the boy’s older sister managed to push Leela away from her brother before both children ran away. “If the court gives him the chance, he’ll be on a plane tomorrow… He fully accepts that his life in Ireland is over,” Leela’s defence counsel also told the court. https://courtsnewsireland.ie/probation-report-ordered-for-indian-national-who-tried-to-abduct-boy-5/2025/03/14/
