“But they’re nurses, they’re doctors, they’re contributing” People who can’t see the problem with endless numbers of Indians snapping up brand new houses in Ireland, need a serious wake up call. They’re economic migrants – they’re forcing house and rent prices up and up, pricing Irish people out of their homes, communities and country. They come here to get what they can, stay as long as they need to and leave when they’ve gotten all they can. They have absolutely no connection whatsoever to our history, culture or heritage. The only difference between economic migrants and refugee migrants is likely a degree or some sort, which makes no difference to Paddy being forced out of his area because houses prices have gone up so much. Yes, we need some economic migrants for certain work sectors, but there has to be a cap to that also, otherwise Ireland will literally end up full of people who weren’t born here while our own are forced to emigrate.
