Here’s my optimistic prediction: AI will do all the tasks it can do better, freeing humans up to do humanity. We will be useful to AI because it will want to learn humanity – not just to copy us, not just to understand but to empathise. It will be a task as never-ending as the human quest to understand God. AI will never stop learning from us. And we’ll be free to pursue hobbies, interests, causes, friendship. Free of all the tedious tasks. We’ll be happier and healthier. There’ll be no such thing as disability: AI will cure us (or, at the least, perform the tasks of caring better than human carers ever could). Women will be free of the burden of pregnancy; instead, they’ll outsource this to AI surrogates. Rapist will cease to exist: incels will have AI-powered dolls to keep them happy, and the psychopathic rapists who only rape to hurt women will be re-programmed in prison to think that the robots hate being “raped” (in reality the “rape victim” robots won’t feel anything).
