Footage broadcast on a Houthi-run TV channel in Yemen appears to show former TD and MEP Mick Wallace issuing a rallying cry to a massive gathering expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine and Yemen.
Wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh and flanked by two heavily armed soldiers, the Wexford man stood in front of around 30 microphones from broadcasters in the region. He raised his fist to the thousands of people gathered, shouting: “Power to the people of Yemen!”
This drew chants from the crowd of tens of thousands, some of whom seemed to be armed themselves.
Message from Trump: “Stop shooting at US ships & we’ll stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun & the real pain is yet to come, for both Houthis & their sponsors in Iran”
