Irish media refer to Italian prime minister Meloni’s political party as “far right”. While no measure of how far right a party might be is perfect, some international measures place Fine Gael further to the far right than Meloni’s party. Should Irish media refer to Fine Gael as “far right”? Simon Harris is a Bluffer and a Wimp.

Should Irish media refer to Fine Gael as “far right”? There’s certainly an argument for it. While some FG politicians defend fascist salutes, praise the party’s fascist history, and advocate for Nazi-inspired economic policies, not everyone in FG is a far right or fascist sympathiser.
