Cocaine addict who posed as teen in paedophile hunter sting jailed

A cocaine addict who pretended to be a 16-year-old boy to have sexually explicit online chats with a paedophile hunter decoy and breached a driving ban has been jailed.

Richard Barry Smyth appeared before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court on Thursday after previously admitting trying to sexually communicate with a child on June 16 last year.
