This is why I spend a fortune on taxis when I have to go into the city centre. Before it got too dangerous, I used to drive; now I won’t even walk from a car park to a venue unless the parking is right beside it. I need to be dropped to the door and picked up there. My elderly mother never uses her bus pass because it’s too dangerous. Last time I used public transport it was nerve-wracking, with crazy people kicking off, screaming at the bus driver.
