Anniversary of #TheBattleOfTrudder – PLEASE SHARE On this morning one year ago I woke up in a panic seeing images of masked thugs bully, abuse and force their way into an illegal site that had an injunction against works proceeding, this was all facilitated by Gardai and POU thugs. The community tried the legal route with an injunction, it was ignored. They were not afforded the same treatment more affluent areas have been like D4, WHY? The community exercised their constitutional right to peaceful assembly, it too was ignored. They engaged with the “community engagement team” too, but were told politely to FO and this would happen, against their wishes. The community was smeared in a failed arson attempt that the local council stated was not their doing. They used warfare tactics to shut down outside communications, but the word got out and it enraged not only the community of Newtownmountkennedy, but all of Ireland. The establishment FAILED to demonize this community, so, what else was left but to beat them with batons and pepper spray them? These images are now synonamous with the illegal plantation of Ireland. Men and Women, elderly citizens and young boys and girls baton and shield charged by riot police simply for saying NO. My own journey through this has been quite surreal. I’ve had a relentless persecution for daring to record images the world MUST SEE. Government enforcers under the guise of Antifa targeting me, my partner, creating false accusations of me, my character on here, Tiktok, Facebook, and Reddit. I’ve had my address posted online numerous times, images of my home, people stalking outside, parked up outside taking images. Falsely accussing me of vandalism and public disorder and just like the residents of Newtown I too have had trumped up charges relating to terrorism weaponized against me for daring to show as many people the reality of what is happening here in Ireland. The issue is not me or any other sharing these images, it is the conduct within these images that is the issue. And rather than address the actions of these thugs, they opt to persecute law abiding citizens like me instead. I’ve lost friends for this and it is heartbreaking for sure, but I wouldn’t change my path as I know I am on the right side of history, undeniably so. I’m raring to go for tomorrows protest, lets make it historic!!!
