Five children among 39 deported from Ireland on flight to Georgia as Minister confirms lack of ‘compliance’ with order

A TOTAL of 39 people have been deported on an overnight flight after they failed to comply with deportation orders.
The Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) carried out an operation on Wednesday which saw 30 men, four women and five children removed from the State.


Gardai confirmed that all children who were deported were part of family groups.
Their flight left Dublin Airport yesterday evening, landing in Georgia this morning.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Yesterday, Wednesday 30th April 2025, the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) of An Garda Síochána carried out an operation removing individuals from the State.
“The operation resulted in the removal of 39 individuals (30 males and 4 females and 5 children).
“The children removed are all part of family groups.
“All individuals were removed on a chartered flight which left Dublin Airport yesterday evening, Wednesday 30th April 2025, for Georgia.
“An Garda Síochána continues to work closely with the Department of Justice in implementing immigration policy.”
