in relation to her background and qualifications in Sports Governance. No Irish organisation publishes more governance codes, policies, or procedures than the GAA. From protected disclosures to conflict of interest policies, safeguarding codes to disciplinary handbooks, every best-practice framework is in place. https://learning.gaa.ie/governance But yet we have this mess in Mayo! Why? This isn’t a failure of documentation. It’s a failure of culture, leadership, and enforcement. Governance without implementation is just paper. Even GAA President Jarlath Burns recently acknowledged this gap when discussing county board spending: “We have to be adults in the room here.” Source: http://Independent.ie Until the GAA aligns its impressive governance architecture with real accountability and cultural change, its policy output will remain largely cosmetic.
