A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following an assault in Dublin city centre this evening.
The attack, which is understood to have been a stabbing incident, happened on the Rosie Hackett Bridge at around 4:30pm. The victim was raced to the Mater Hospital where his condition is described as “serious”.Gardai have preserved the scene for technical examination. A Garda spokeswoman said: “Gardaí attended the scene following report of a serious assault that occurred in the area of Rosie Hackett Bridge, Eden Quay, Dublin 1, this afternoon, Monday 2nd June 2025, at approximately 4.30pm.
