Former care worker is in jail for raping a 73-year-old woman with dementia — and he is suspected of abusing 21 others

The HSE is to resume an investigation into the alleged rape and abuse of nursing home residents by a former health care assistant suspected of being among the country’s most prolific sex offenders.

Emmanuel Adeniji, who was convicted of raping a 73-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s, has already been reported by the HSE to An Garda Síochána for the alleged sexual abuse and rape of 21 other women who lived at the HSE-run nursing home.
